We are seeking to hire one (1) CMM Programmer / QA Technician to work for our Semiconductor Equipment Division (SED). The position is located in Dallas, TX, near DFW Airport. SED is an established semiconductor equipment division which supplies and supports plasma ECR etchers used in the manufacturing of semiconductors.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position inspects a wide variety of incoming material and generates reports. In addition, the position performs analysis of nonconforming material and communicates findings to other functional areas. This position will perform supplier audits, scoring, and reporting. The CMM Programmer/QA Technician will program and operate a Zeiss scanning CMM, plus assist with ISO 9001/ Quality Management System (QMS) continuous improvement, documentation, and auditing.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Inspect incoming/outgoing materials and generate inspection reports.

• Program and operate a Zeiss CMM.

• Inspect and analyze returned materials, work closely with the Return Material Authorization (RMA) team to determine the status and disposition of materials.

• Develop, improve, and maintain work procedures.

• Provide support for the ISO-9001 based QMS including documentation, auditing, etc.

• Perform supplier audits and publish audit results.

• Prepare quality reports for supplier and customer audits, as well as for internal purposes.

• Publish quality reports using Word, Excel, PowerPoint; incorporating photos and other graphical files.

Qualifications: 

• Associate Degree in an engineering discipline, e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering.

• American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification. (preferred, not required)

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance field.

• 2+ years in inspection.

• 1+ years in manufacturing (preferred, not required)

• Ability to understand and review mechanical CAD drawings.

• Ability to program and operate a CMM (Zeiss Calypso preferred)

• Hands-on knowledge of common metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, electronic measurement equipment, etc.

• Proficiency in general computer skills and applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

• Able to travel up to 10% in support of supplier meetings, audits, and evaluations.
